SOS Domestic Abuse Projects, Formerly Southend Women’s Aid, is a registered charity number 1062493.
The organization aims to alleviate the impact of domestic and sexual abuse on individuals and families through:
- Promoting the protection of children, young people and vulnerable adults from the risk of harm and abuse.
- Supporting individuals and families to make informed and healthy choices for their future.
- Educating the public and professional partners through awareness training throughout the community.
- Providing a drop-in service for women in crisis and on going support as the need arises including self esteem groups.
We work in partnership with Southend Domestic Abuse Forum, Southend and Castle point Multi-Agency Risk Assessment Conference (M-A-R-A-C), the police, health services and other voluntary agencies.
